What a night!! Thanks neighbors for reminding me yet again why I love Tenney Lapham!
Â
The TLNA Fall Fest & Bake Off was a gorgeous warm evening, with the savory smells of Banzo and Costa Rica Mango Man in the air as bakers began to fill the picnic tables with cookies and bars.
Â
Then, all at once, the Richard Linster Memorial Bike Riders arrived. The kids among the group descended upon the tables stacked with pumpkins, to decorate them with stickers.Â
Â
Neighbors tasted sixteen different brownies, cookies, bars, and cupcakes in the Bake Off, voting Bob Klebba’s German chocolate cupcakes into first place, Meridian & Glen’s Toasted Coconut Chocolate Krispy bars into second, and Tom Carter’s Coconut Cookies and Jacob Handel’s Excitemint brownies into a tie for third. One lucky neighbor took home $238 from the 50/50 raffle. Then we recognized 28 neighbors for their service to the neighborhood with custom tokens made by Davie Froeschner, and we voted 5 new members onto the council.
Â
This event would not have been possible without the many volunteers who helped pass out flyers, collect raffle tickets, set up pumpkins, signage, and drinks, take photos, go on emergency ice and drink runs, and help clean up. THANK YOU!Â
Â
Thanks also to the bakers and the food trucks for the delicious spread!Â
Â
And thank you to our generous sponsors, Stonehouse Development, the Dylin hotel, Festival Foods, and AltBrew.Â
Â
And thank you to everyone who came and made this night a tremendous success.Â
Â
If you would like to help plan or volunteer for future events, let me know! 🙂
